Re: 4 crown updates

I brought 3 new people to the track with me, along with my 2 boys (10 & 13). We all left at midnight for multiple reasons. (tired boys, 2 hour drive, son was part of worship team on Sunday) At the...

Sadly, I couldn't stay for the whole thing. I brought my two young boys, a friend of mine from work, and a buddy of mine with his young son as well. My boys had been there before with me, but my...

Re: 2012 Indycar Schedule

Texas will be a double header again in 2012 with the same race distances. They will pay full points for both races instead of half points like 2011. They will also do something different for the...

Re: Indycar schedule in trouble

I was one of the 13,000 or so people that showed up for the Milwaukee race this year. The race was spectacular. We the fans made a big stink about losing Milwaukee in 2010... Randy Bernard managed...

Re: Eldora weather ...Saturday

Eldora took great pains to make sure that everybody realized that USAC was calling the shots on Friday and Saturday. Whether it was the drivers electing to let the mods and stocks run before them to...

Re: Irl bozo's!

Part of the issue is that drivers from other countries recognize at an early age that if they want to get into F1, GP2, GP3, F3 or even in to the lower tier formula feeder ladders, they will need...

Re: Irl bozo's!

Yeah, overnight ratings were a 1.4 for the st pete race. That is the highest rating that an IndyCar race (other than the 500) has received since 2007.

Re: 2011 USAC Sprint schedual

Fair enough. Saw that on one of the threads here.

Why are they changing dates then?

Re: 2011 USAC Sprint schedual

I think they are correct. I may be wrong, but I heard that Lawrenceburg wanted to move to Sunday because they are up against a Sprint Cup race that weekend at Kentucky.

Re: USAC Sprints all Dirt in 2011

Ahhh, that makes more sense to me. I was wondering if they meant Silver Crown instead. We shall see.

Re: Indy cars

MIS was "muscled" out by a lack of fans in the stands. While attendance has been dropping at edmonton, they still had one of the largest crowds on the schedule. Say what you will about road and...

Re: The New Generation Silver Crown Car

I think it is dead to USAC, but Ashmore Designs is still trying to get people interested and a new series off the ground based around their...

Re: Indy cars

To each their own.... I love the dirt track. I love the paved ovals. I love the road courses. And recently, I have been gaining some fondness for some of the newer street courses like St Pete and...

Re: 4 crown nationals

Eldora is a fantastic facility and a great place to see a race when the track is prepped right.

Unfortunately, the last several shows I have seen at the place have been atrociously dusty,...

Re: F! US Grand Prix to Austin TX 2012

True, it was an engineering problem with the tires in an era of tire competition. But first and foremost, racing has to be a show for the fans in attendance and watching worldwide. This is the kind...

Re: F! US Grand Prix to Austin TX 2012

One of the higher ups at McLaren already came out and said that they don't have an detailed knowledge of the plan, but because F1 has tried and failed so many times in the US, that F1 should look...

Re: F! US Grand Prix to Austin TX 2012

Looks like Austin decided to write a ginormous check to Bernie. They can try to make Austin sound like the quintessential US city, but in the end, Austin is slightly smaller than Indy and does not...

Re: Would fans be willing to pay more for USAC Sprints if?

Count me in. When I consider the amount I pay for gas and concessions while attending races, $5 more is fairly negligible. I would gladly pay 25 or 30 for a USAC event ticket if I knew it was going...

Tri-State Speedway Re: Hats off to Eldora crew

I have to agree. The track has been silly dusty for too long. The USAC fiasco was my last straw. If ya'll can put together a nice track for the Wednesday show and the 4-Crown, I might consider...

Re: I Hate Kokomo

I hear ya. Even though I live 3-1/2 hours away, I will still make the trek a couple times this year. Monday will suck, but it is worth it. I just couldn't do it on a regular basis.

Re: A letter from tony stewart

I am glad Tony has responded with the open letter on Eldora's website, but there is a problem with Eldora's response. As compensation for their lack of track prep, we have been offered the...
