Well known Old Timer and racer from the 40s and 50s, Bill Holloway has ran his last race. Bill passed away this week in Muncie.
RIP, race in peace Bill.

Their was (and still is) a track near Fortville called Raceland. It has not run since 1947. It had the nickname of 'the dog track' It is located just a little north and East of the New Chevy dealer...

Actually, two things. The great showing of Blake Fitzpatrick and the bad luck of Tracy Hines. Look out when Hines rebounds and here's hoping Fitz keeps his momentum.

The Muncie Velodrome was indeed located on Burlinton Pike. My reseach puts it at the location of the Trailer park. This was also the location of the Muncie steeplechase in 1939. Dutch Hurst local car...

Here is a photo from Armscamp Speedway in 1946. It was also called Hilltop for a short time. It burnt twice the last time was in the early 60s and was not rebuilt.
