I'm not surprised about this weekends fiasco, just more of the same. Talked to Larry Boos at a car show a couple of weeks ago and was told track was being worked and was in good shape, should not be...

Only took about 50 years to learn this not the place for me to go anymore. Others will learn the hard way as I did.

Stared attending races in the 50's as a young boy, have saw many and many greats, but Jan is one of if not the greatest. Watched him at many tracks (10-15) From Knoxville to the Speedway. not many...

Have been going to Eldora since 1960, but the last 3-4 years of poor track conditions have driven me away. Will make a few 350 mile trips to Terre Haute rather than 60 miles to the E.

Started attending sprints in the late 50's, enjoyed the 60's thru the mid 80's, from Ascot to New York, but things change. Still attend a few races each year, but I enjoyed what I saw in the past...

I recall sending photos from Warsaw Speedway in the 80's of his winning car to him and Phil Poor, always thought he was a stand up guy, with real valves.

Good luck Steve, I recall when yourself and Poncho were the pair, that were almost unbeatable. Those were the years, I guess I live in the past, but I enjoy them more than the present.
