The reason the midgets qualified slower in comparison to the sprint cars is that the sprintcars qualified first this year. When the track has grip you can put the power down. When I ran the midgets...

Steve was also there as a fabricator for Ron Stanley when they first started building 1/4 midgets in 1978 in Brownsburg.

One year at the Hoosier Dome Midget Invitational I believe Ted brought in the Indianapolis Deaf childrens choir or something like that.....simply amazing!

The two that I would have never wanted to get mad were Rick Ferkel and Billy Cassella.....pretty strong, but well mannered gassers!

I have done it both ways and Racer 12 is correct to diconnect the grounds but I would also put a piece of business card stock between the contacts of the points. Also connect the ground as close to...

It is a Saldana, the headrest gives it away. Could be as early as late 70's.

No it was actually Billy Casella that was hit from behind by Sheldon and Billy exited the joint. The banana car was born!

For as long as I can remember these late season "specials" have always been called promoter benefit races. Don't know why they would change it up now.

With a waterman pump your pressure fittings need to be on the opposite side of the suction or supply side of the pump. The ports on each side 90 degrees from the supply are not both pressure ports....

He was a pretty good outlaw racer, an outstanding fabricator. I believe he was seriously injured in a sprint car and never returned to his former self.

Please dont take this wrong, I agree you never touch a woman......but when anyone puts a uniform on they lose any gender association. They are to be treated like any other race driver.
