In the waning years of the roadsters (early to mid '60's) were any of those cars that competed in the Indianapolis 500 ever used in competition on the Mile Dirt tracks? Did guys like Ward, Parnelli and Branson race the roadsters in the 500 and a different car in the hundred milers on dirt?

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

George painted all of my quarter midgets. Unbelievable! His son Steve is around the cincinnatti area, pretty good also.

Our snow is just quiting for awhile I hope. I'm not even sure how much is on the ground, four maybe five feet.

Yes they are brave, but not like these dudes. No gloves, no Hans, no "safe" walls, the safety crew looks like the Taiban running to the crash scene in the back of a pick-up. Oh yeah i don't see any female drivers either, wonder why? Would Danica drive Smokey's car?
