I can remember going to Bloomington in the middle of Oct on a Sunday Afternoon for a Racin With D.O show. Great crowd, great turnout. Track was junk from sun all day and Roush was the first to blow a RR and change it and won.

You guys are all talking about Special Events. I took the original post to mean running regular weekly shows. I can remember some October shows as well but they were pretty rare.

Believe that was the day they had trouble getting the timing light to record the cars because of the bright sunlight.

I miss interperated your original post, my bad! Hope no harm no foul. Your absolutely correct, "most" season track championships (regular shows) are in the rear view mirror at this point for sure.
