Cage net! Lot of kids running these on quarter midgets! Not sure why the bigger cars don't run them? They cove the whole cage , don't affect the chassis performance and get be cut off quick to extract an injured driver !

While that setup certainly protects from cockpit intrusion it would not be a good thing at all if a driver needed to exit quickly and the only way out was through the top...

Not sure the 'net' will provide the same driver protection as a 'halo' if in crash situations the front end of another car were to enter the top of the cage. The halo' is meant to protect the driver in those situations.

If you're looking for ideas, I would suggest looking at some pictures of the Pace chassis micro sprint. I think the design they offer as an option is the nicest I have seen as far as closing off that area to intrusion.

We did a mock "get the heck out fast test" and even with the helmet and all the gear on, I'm able to slip right out if need be. I just gotta watch my donuts intake.....
