*An all volunteer group joined forces to come together in an attempt to "Save The Track" from demolition. In 5 days, yes- 5 days. *From a monster truck , to push trucks, to announcers, scorers , infield and flagman, and track personnel, many came to the aid of the historic track. *After rain forced cancelations around the area, mother nature detoured the "shot in the arm" VCS needed to save this historic track. *95 cars total! Included 40 sprint cars, 28 modifieds, 21 pure stock/bombers and 6 HORNETS

*THE 4 SPRINT CAR HEATS WERE WON BY, WEYANT, BILLBE, CUMMINS(STARTED AT THE TAIL) AND GRANT. *THE DASH WAS WON BY THE BLACK 17 OF NICK BILLBE.

*WHEN THE FEATURE HIT THE TRACK, CUMMINS JUMPED TO AN EARLY LEAD AND LOOKED LIKE HE HAD EM COVERED, BUT GRANT AND BILLBE AND WEYANT AND LIL SHU' WERE NOT FAR BEHIND.
* A BAD FLIP BY WES MAC BROUGHT OUT THE RED . WES MAC WAS OK, BUT HURTIN'.
*THE RESTART WAS ON WITH 6 LAPS TO GO..... CUMMINS LED THE FIELD UNTIL THE LAST LAP GOIN' INTO 3, GRANT WAS RIGHT THERE WITH A TURN 4 SLIDER AND IT WAS "JUSTIN -TIME- GRANT" TO THE TAKE THE CHECKERS. IT WAS HIS FIRST SPRINT CAR WIN. BOY WAS HE EXCITED, AS WERE THE ENTIRE BALDWIN TEAM. CONGRATS BOYS.., YOU EARNED IT THIS YEAR.

*YOUNG GUN ROOKIE AJ HOPKINS LIT THE FIELD ON FIRE RUNNING A LINE THAT NO ONE REALLY DARED.......ALL 4 ABOVE THE CUSH' AND MOVIN FORWARD. AJ, HIS FIRST TIME AT VCS- STARTED 20TH, TO FINISH 4TH. GREAT RUN AJ!

MANY DRIVERS AND FANS ALIKE, SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN DANVILLE THAT FAST! THANKS FOR THE TRACK PREP PHIL.
THANKS TO PIERCES , FOR HELP ON THE THINGS WE NEEDED THAT WE DIDNT HAVE. THANKS TO THE SPONSORS THAT DID CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALY , A LITTLE FROM EVERYONE ACCOMPLISHES ALOT. THANKS TO AL FROM THE FAIRBOARD FOR ALL THE FAVORS HE PULLED TOGETHER IN 5 DAYS, HE IS TRUELY A "HALL OF FAMER" IN OUR BOOKS. DRIVERS ENTRIES FROM ALL CLASSES , INCLUDING THE 11+ TEAMS AND FANS THAT TREK'D FROM RAINED OUT LAWRENCEBURG TO MAKE OUR SHOW A SUCCESS. GLAD WE WAITED FOR YOU ALL , IT WAS APPRECIATED.

Fuel yes..At this time there is still a need for a parts truck. If anyone would like the job please contact Rob (SPRINT PROMOTER) or PM Me and I'll be glad to get you guys together.

Has it been determined yet if this is week to week or has it been decided to do the whole month of October? I'll be at the SUMAR this Saturday, but after that I plan on trying to make it up there.
