Flo probably does foot the bill a bit given it’s the only thing on this time of year. I doubt it actually makes anyone purchase a subscription but I’m sure they have formulas that allocate a portion of their revenues based on people watching at any given time that justifies them spending some money on the event.

The other thing I’ve learned over the years is there seems to be no shortage of promoters that willingly throw money at the Lm division.

Because they're money makers.

So each of the 2 mod classes had over 60 cars in each of them. The SLM had 48 cars. Awesome car count. Awesome track prep. Very solid racing. I like the event, but like most of you, no way I'm making that trip in Jan. I can head to speed weeks next weekend, 1/2 the drive. I know Rigsby has something to do with this event. Not sure how they are all making money with no one in the stands.

Now the other thing that makes no sense to me Speedweeks. They will go run the next 3 weeks, then take over a month off. Lucas and WOO both have events in March. Scheduling wise you would think the later the better. Run the entire thing in Feb. maybe end the first weekend in March. Week or 2 off then kick off your schedule. With East Bay going away, this new format will be interesting.

With East Bay gone the Lucas Oil Late Models should be a boon for Ocala Speedway. But once again, one must factor in Flo money + gate money. But these guys at Ocala HAVE to be ahead of the rake in from year's past.

I can 'guess' Volusia is relying more on the gate money vice Ocala with the WoO Sprinters and Late Models who are not on Flo. They'll pack the place.

Me? I'll be at Volusia for all four WoO Sprint nights. Be there....

... or be square.

We’ll be there too! Also, all the USAC races the next week. Florida in February!
