Ya know Don Moore will kill me for being off topic here but who are you to expect an apology from Hud, KT Jr or any of the other fans in attendance at the race track. I cant believe these people who think they are owed apologies for things that they werent personally involved in. Thats one of the things that is wrong with this country these days. That deal was between the 2 drivers and maybe the owners who pay the bills for those drivers...no one else. We may get to comment on it but we certianly were not owed an apology, and if one is given between the parties involved it isnt any of our business.

We were sitting coming out of 2, what I saw were 2 guys battling over a transfer spot. Hard racing, good racing and to be expected racing. If Jones, Gardner, Cottle, et al, had been in Kt Jr. and Hud's spot would you have expected anything different. The result for Hud and the 37 were scary, and I believe that Hud might have had revenge in his mind, but I can't read minds.

No offense Bob, but if drivers are going to have to start giving public apologies for bone headed moves.....the tracks are going to have to open a few computer kiosks for drivers to log on to during the evening.

Maybe "bone head move" was not the correct term, how about "downright possibly deadly move". Does that make it any better. It was just a move that should have been avoided was all I am saying. It just would have been a very good PR move to issue a statement. Judging from all of the comments that I was hearing from the people sitting around me. Scruples and values don't seem to matter to a lot of posters on this board. Sometimes you just need to suck it up and do the right thing.......Sorry this upsets so many people.....JMO

NO JOKE... well put and for everyone of you jerkoffs who think he got what he deserved go sit in the stands play armchair quarterback. Until some of you strap in one....I think you should be a little less critical of those guys who risk there lives for something we all love. The guy who said well thankfully he got hurt..and it was what he had coming....some of keyboard jockeys need to stick you keyboard in your butt.

Hud get well man...it is what it is...no worries. No one on this boards ever done something they were judged on....

I have to agree it was a bad situation and Hud Cone paid the price. But I maybe have a little different slant on the crash. I looked like everyone was running the cushion and sliding to pass someone. It looked to me like KT went to the bottom to keep Cone from sliding him and Cone had a big run on the bottom and ran out of race track. JMHO
Strange looking at the car with the motor so far out of place and the front of the frame not all torn up. Did the motor mounts break off?
It was great to get to a race on our way back to Colorado and to get a big hug from Susan.

I think you may be right. The only video I saw on the USAC site caught it late, but I don't know how he could have thrown a slider on someone that went low. Makes sense that if they went low when he was commited to the slider it wouldn't work out well.

He was going for it and reminded me of larry gates. Things did not work out the way he hoped I am sure. But, If things did not happen it would be hard to sell tickets to watch car follow each other around? Or would it?????????? They sell tickets for NAPCAR!!!! I am glad Hud is over all ok and he will be back to thrill his fans. Great ISW 2010.

To me, perhaps the scariest part of this whole deal was the way the tire flew off. What if this had happened at a fairgrounds track? Could you imagine a tire flying off a Silver Crown car flipping in turn 1 at the Springfield Mile during the State Fair.
