I agree with Duke. They woud be better if they only ran 250 miles, and so there are the same amount of pit stops make them run straight ethanol.

Well stated. Probably why I haven't watched a NASCAR race on TV for years.

Because it has the same soothing effect as rain on the window for napping.

Boy, I'll be happy when the season starts around here so we can forget about NASCAR and we can talk about sprint drivers throwing a fit and grabbing their crotches and Duke can tell us how we're a bunch of whimps campared to the drivers in the 60's!

If the product on the track (IE:the RACING) is boring for the 500 mile events it will still be BORING at 250 or 300 miles.

A turd is a turd......No matter how you polish it

Back in the day, the racing was so much better. Why is this true? Because now it resembles professional wrestling and not racing. There is a new commercial the last month that says the drivers have been freed up to drive harder, as DW says "back when he raced". That's complete BS, if 2 drivers decided to get out and have a discussion, first, they would never take their helmets off for fear of getting punched in the nose. Second, there are so many team cars that these guys actually talk to each other during cautions. Third, Smoke is the only one with a personality and even he has become tamed.

[QUOTE=sprinter25;159392]Just a thought...if NASCAR racing is such a bore, what with 500 miles of consuming fuel and tires, why do you bother to watch?

Change the channel, for god's sake!

That's why some people call it Napcar, you watch the first few laps, nap and watch the last few laps.
