Lawrenceburg Speedway Up Next for BOSS

This Saturday night, May 20th, the Rick's Trucks & Equipment BOSS tour visits the high banks of the historic Lawrenceburg Speedway for the first of two visits in 2017. Two events have already been completed with Justin Owen winning the opener at Atomic Speedway in April and Dustin Smith fresh off a win just days ago at Fremont Speedway. Smith, from Russiaville, Indiana holds a slim points lead over Pennsylvania driver Carmen Perigo and Cincinnati, Ohio driver Michael Fischesser.

Located at the Dearborn County Fairgrounds, the site first hosted auto racing in 1910 on the half mile track built for horse racing. Weekly racing on a purpose built quarter mile began in 1950. In 2008, the current 3/8 mile high banked configuration began hosting racing and the BOSS tour has made 2 stops every season dating back to 2012. The stars and cars of the tour look forward to leaving their mark on the long legacy of Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Along with the BOSS traditional sprint cars, UMP modifieds and hornets will fill out the racing card. Adult general admission is just $17 with kids ages 7-12 only $7 and children 6 and under are free. General admission gates will open at 5 pm with hot laps scheduled for 6 and racing at 7 pm.

For teams competing, pit gates are open all day. However, the pit area is cleared at 3:45 and official pit pass sales begin at 4 pm. Drivers meeting is at 5:20 with engine heat immediately following. Hot laps will begin at 6 pm with racing at 7 pm. Pit passes for all ages are $30. There will be no transponder rental fee courtesy of Lawrenceburg Speedway! As always, there are NO membership or entry fees of any kind and BOSS utilizes the open tire rule. Mufflers ARE REQUIRED for this event! Fuel will be available at the track.
