Mini Sprint Payout POLL

I did the math yesterday and I just want to test the waters and see what everyone thinks. Payout "A" is the current posted MMSA payout per their website. Payout "B" is another option that seems to offer incentive for each spot as well as creates a larger payout from 4th place on. (excludes 20th position) I realize that people want to race for a large 1st place prize, but perhaps racing for less to win and receiving a higher payout for every position after 3rd place will help keep costs down. It may also help keep cars coming to the track, and not sitting in their garages. Only 1 car can win on any night.
Which one do YOU prefer? MMSA Posted Payout "A" 1. $500 2. 250 3. 175 4. 125 5. 100 6. 90 7. 80 8. 70 9. 65 10. 60 11. 50 12. 50 13. 50 14. 50 15. 50 16. 50 17. 50 18. 50 19. 50 20. 50 Total Purse: $2,015 Payout "B" 1. $300 2. 150 3. 140 4. 130 (compare this to "A" which is $125) 5. 125 6. 120 7. 115 8. 110 9. 105 10. 100 (same amount as 5th place above) 11. 95 12. 90 13. 85 14. 80 15. 75 16. 70 17. 65 18. 60 19. 55 20. 50 Total Purse: $2,120 ($105 more than payout "A") |

I may not hit as heavy as I once did but the "B" takes a lot of the bang out of the racing thing. Why not give each racer in the A main $100.00 that makes sense to me.
Better yet lets get some real nice trophies that say participant, my wife loves them things. Now if we could get a heavy hitting sponsor we could really do something with the purse. Hint- Hint Honest Dad himself |

Several years ago we did a weekly show at a track just down the road from us a little. They would have a big pay out race for each of their divisions at least once a season. The way you could tell it was going to be a big money race was the pit passes went up Ten Bucks.
I got to thinking this was just like "BINGO" and once a season they would have a "cover all game" for each class and the other classes job was to supported that game. Honest Dad himself |

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. Not sure of the payout throughout the field, but the Wisconsin Illinois Mini Sprint series says they pay 150-250 to win and 50 to start. And they seem to get 20-25 cars per event. Does anyone know the full rundown of Waynesfields payout?

this is my weekly payout as a standard purse....anymore it is car count dependent. With that said you as as a racer that wants more money needs to get your buddy off his ass, you know the one that has his car setting in the garage that polishes it and calls hinself a racer, to come to the track more often cause he is costing YOU money....
you get X amount of dollars per car so less say $100.00 per car x 20 cars = $2,000.00 everybody get $75.00 across the board which = $1500.00 so where does the other $500.00 go.... $100.00 goes to the points fund $400.00 is disturbed across the top 8 1st extra 100=175 2nd extra 75=150 3rd extra 60=135 4th extra 50=125 5th extra 40=115 6th extra 30=100 7th extra 20= 90 8th extra 10= 80 total of $385.00 and don't forget it is only a $10.00 pit pass and the rest $15.00 goes to the cat that is putting on all this crap....yep about a nickle and hour

Tom Helfrich at Tri-State had about an hour conversation yesterday on the phone and that was a HOT TOPIC....so many people come into this deal to "GET RICH QUICK" .... that just does not happen and very few come into "JUST FOR THE LOVE OF THE SPORT"...those get rich quick days LONG ARE GONE!!!!!!

I don't have a dog in this fight but I personally think it is silly to pay the same amount of money from 10th on back. Why even race in the back if you are having a bad night you should start and park and let ten cars try to break even on their expenses.
