Is there separate coil packs for each cylinder or is there only one ? Also will the solenoid keep the motor from firing ?The starter was engaging with out pushing the start button when we turned the power on . Any ideas ?

Might b the the main wires crossed on the solenoid. should say b for battery and m for motor, witch would go to starter but the firing issue could b the "bike down" sensor or a faulty ECM . Bike down sensor has the word up stamped in the plastic and needs to be takin apart and the counter weight hot glued so it does not cut out when racing , also on your harness the starter button should b connected to a blue wire/w white tracer on each side of starter button , the starter button works by completing a ground to solenoid . You can unhook ECM completely and check you harness to make sure wiring is correct for starter button.
