There was a race out west at the end of the year that only paid a thousand to win and I believe two hundred to start.

Well the thursday "national" race out west at the end of the year still paid a thousand to win. it was the thursday night race of the oval nationals weekend.

The first night at Canyon was a "national points race" also and paid a cut rate purse for the same amount of laps as a regular show.

Exactly and Fridays show is the same, the payouts for the Oval Nats.on the prelim. nights is a JOKE!!

Racing for 2,500 on the first night at Canyon isn't that bad,but the 1,000-1,200 for two nights at the Ovals is a slap in the face.
