Twin Cities Next For UMRA

The 50th anniversary season of the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets continues on Saturday night at Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana. The race will be the sixteenth of the 2010 season and the first at Twin Cities since September of 2008. Terry Goff comes into the race on a huge roll as he tries for his fifteenth UMRA title. He has five wins on the season and is riding a four-race winning streak. His most recent win this past Saturday night at the Anderson Speedway was a huge one as he took over sole possession of second on the all-time win list at 116, passing a driver that he called one of his heroes, Rick Meyer.
When the TQs hit the track at Twin Cities the drivers will be going after a pair of contingency awards. There is the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge” where the highest finishing rookie will receive $50. There will also be the G&G Oil “Hard Charger of the Race” where the driver who advances the most positions in the feature will receive five gallons of fuel. When Terry Goff came from tenth to first at Anderson to take the hard charger award it made him just the second driver to claim the five gallons of fuel on multiple occasions in 2010. The youngsters will want to have their parents bring them out to the track on Saturday as one lucky fan will leave Twin Cities with a brand new kids bike.
Gates open at three on Saturday at Twin Cities, practice is at six, and racing is scheduled to start at 6:30!
