Same with us - Just make sure it's the VR-1. This still has the zinc wear protective additives in it.

Whatever you use, make sure it has the zinc additives. Many of the companies had to switch because of the new govt. laws which caused a lower zinc level. If it is marked racing and NOT FOR STREET USE, then it should be fine.

Some I like:
Red Line
Alisyn
Royal Purple
Joe Gibbs
Champion

Cen-pe-co is another I have heard is good.

How is the best way to buy oil to get the most bang for the buck? Do you buy in drums or by the quart? The oil seems expensive to only be used for 2-3 races. How much oil does a Sprint car hold?

Thanks for you patience.

I've used the CEN-PE-CO 20-50 also, no problems, just seemed to milk a little quicker, but cleared up as soon as the engine got some heat in it, no brg issues or anything, typically use Castrol GTX, 20-50, and no problems with it either. Rather not comment on Valvoline, altho some are going to it, since they started adding the zinc or whatever back in. Bob
