I miss Dwight and his posts here on the IOW board. He always seemed to have an intelligent answer and a calm influence. I think of Dwight almost every day as I have one of his memorial stickers on my truck. RIP Dwight.

It is sad that we lost Dwight at such a young age. His posts were always intelligent and informative. He was always the voice of reason. RIP, Dwight

I also miss Dwight, miss his friendship, his racing knowledge and contributions to IOW. I have been thinking allot about Dwight this past week since we are fast approaching the first anniversary of his death and I had another friend die last Wed. at the age of 59.
My message to all IOW friends, those I have met and those I haven't had the chance to meet stay on top of your health. Diabetes, hypertension and heart disease are all serious illnesses. Happy Birthday Dwight, miss you!!!!!!! Patti |

His first birthday in heaven and probably the happiest! He doesn't have to choose which race to go to! He has a good view of all of them!!
Happy Birthday Dwight!! I miss you very much! We all do!!

Dwight passed away on the morning of September 3rd , 2008.
His last IOW POST came at 9:40pm - Sept 2. This was post number # 1,607. and is fairly typical of threads begun by Dwight. Quote:
Probably the most recognizable name on the board , you always read with interest his posts that shared a great knowledge of the sport. I was sorry that he was not able to further enjoy his new job at the IMS Hall of Fame Museum which represented his real passion. His knowledge of the Speedway would certainly rival that of Donald Davidson. Dwight appreciated what I was doing in driving Midgets as we were only a year apart in age. He would always stop , say hello and talk about something concerning the past days of URC sprints on the east coast as that was in both of our pasts. I offer this as my tribute to a true gentleman that everyone liked and respected. Always Missed , Never Forgotten |
