Going to be in Indy next weekend so I'm looking for opinions on downtown Indy Steakhouses -- the one's that serve USDA Prime Beef. Which one's do you like and why? Thanks!

St Elmos is the place to be for steak in Indy.

Morton's Steak House is good but nothing beats St. Elmos.

Though St Elmo's is The One for the tradition, and the status, you cannot--Repeat, Cannot--go wrong in Downtown Indy with your steak choice. In about a six-block square, you have about 7 world-class choices. But none totally define Indy like St Elmo's. The phenomenally-horseradish-heavy shrimp cocktail is the other legend of the place...

While at St Elmo, be sure to get the shrimp cocktail. Beware the first bite though.

Agree with the previous. St. Elmos is a must....however, if you have 2 dinner opportunities, and want steak for both, after Elmo's, try the new Brazilian steakhouse downtown...amazing!

ST. ELMO'S IS THE BEST. THEY HAVE A WEB SITE TO RESERVE A TABLE. THE REST. IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD. STEAK AND THE PRIME RIB ARE LARGE CUTS, SALADS ARE GREAT AND OF COURSE DON'T FORGET THE WORLD FAMOUS SHRIMP COCKTAIL. HAVE FUN!:applaud:

Oh, is that a churrascaria? Man, those are fantastic. I see that there is one, Fogo de Chao in Indy now. Don't eat for a couple of days before.

Yes it's Fogo de Chao....couldn't remember the name. 17 different types of meat I believe, and all you can eat....you won't want to eat for 2 days after either!
