Big SpeeD2 Midget weekend in Indiana this Friday and Saturday!

Join the USAC SpeeD2 Midwest Thunder Midget Series at Gas City Speedway on Friday June 15th for a D2-only race for production-based automotive and motorcycle-powered midgets. Its been a crazy summer of rainouts, but our first race at Kokomo drew 19 cars and race two last weekend drew 25 at Spoon River Speedway in IL.

Under Jerry Gappen's leadership Gas City has put on some great racing in 2018, and we are looking forward to a good showing of D2 cars to create more awareness of grass roots midget racing. Stay over in Gas City Friday night (local hotels include the Holiday Inn Express 4914 Beaner Blvd, 765-674-6664) then journey 20 miles up the road to Montpelier Motor Speedway for night 2 of the doubleheader on Saturday the 16th.

Montpelier promoter Harold Hunter has been a long time supporter of midget racing, and has given the D2 competitors a night of their own on June 16th as thanks for the support the cars have provided since the creation of the Montpelier Midget Series in 2012. Both Friday and Saturday nights feature a $400 to win, $100 to start purse. Double your fun for the same gas money!

With Waynesfield Raceway Park hosting the AllStar Speedweek on Sunday this weekend, we encourage all AMSA competitors to take off the wing and make the short haul to Indiana to enjoy some wingless action.
