I'm proud to say that I at least once got to see him sing "Back Home Again in Indiana"

RIP Mr. Nabors!

True icon at the Indy 500. Wish they would always play his recording of Back home again in Indiana, at every Indy 500. Will sure be missed. God rest his soul. Thanks for the memories.

I was present at everyone of his Indy 500 performances and each one sent a chill up my spine! What a magnificent voice! Rest in Peace, Jim Nabors!

The 500 is all about tradition and Jim Nabors was one of the quirkiest. But a favorite of mine.
I hope his tradition is built upon by inviting Jim Cornelison, who just nailed the song this year, back yearly.
