HAUDENSCHILD LATEST TO THROW HAT IN OCALA RING!
Jac Haudenschild of Wooster, Ohio, who earned the richest payday in the history of Sprint racing when he grabbed the “Mopar Million” at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio in 2003, has joined the field for USAC’s 2013 AMSOIL National Sprint Car openers February 21-23 at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla. Haudenschild will team with fellow Ohio driver and potential USAC “Rookie of the Year” candidate Landon Simon of Tipp City in a two-car effort for SST Motorsports out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. “The Wild Child’s” last USAC appearance came in a non-points event at Oskaloosa, Iowa last year. His last points appearance in a USAC National event came at Lawrenceburg, Ind. in 2011. In 2003, Jac polished off the largest field of drivers in USAC history when he took the $200,000 winner’s share at Eldora. A total of 138 cars competed in that event and Haudenschild led the final 12 laps of the 40-lap classic after passing Dickie Gaines, who finished third behind runner-up Stevie Smith. Haudenschild has a half-dozen previous USAC Sprint car wins to his credit, all in his home state of Ohio. Four of those six came at Eldora Speedway in 1982, 1984, 1985 and 1988. His other wins were at Findlay in 1982 and Attica in 1990. Defending USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Champion Bryan Clauson is also among pre-race favorites, along with former series champions Tracy Hines and Levi Jones, 2012 “Rookie of the Year” C.J. Leary and 2012 USAC “Most Improved Driver” Chase Stockon. Also, the entry list on page one has been updated with all known expected entries. A few more are still on the fence. A couple releases shedding more light on the midget entries will be coming out in the next few days... |

Sucks to think that Darland, Stanbrough, and Coons won't be in Florida. I don't think Jerry was down last year either
