Hildebrand Hot Wheels Recall

Hot Wheels has a recall on it's J. R. Hildebrand car..... They forgot to put a CHOKE on it.

I read in the Indianapolis Star, that he was going almost 100 mph faster than the lap car he tried to pass. So it was either try to go high and pass him or plow into the back of the lap car. Why the lap car was going so slow I'm not sure, but that doesn't sound like he choked to me. Just some very bad luck.

Last year Ryan Hunter Reay was running out of fuel when Mike Conway ran over him flipping into the fence. That last lap has a few cars going very slow. It was just one of those racin deals...

Read this article on the fuel situation JR had...He went VERY far on that last tank..I think he was fortunate to even be in that position.

And according to statement that Brian Barnhart made to Dave Despain, the slow car(Charlie kimball?) was out of fuel, and in my opinion, was as low on the track as he could get. Alex Tagliani ran an entire lap after he hit the wall, all the while traveling at a slower rate of speed.
