This Friday June 14th.

Double Midget Features. We will start with the feature that was rained out at our World of Outlaw Show in April, then run a complete new show of Midgets, 305 Wing Sprints and POWRi Micros.

Hot Laps start at 6:15. Racing at 7:00.

Locally we are calling it the "Burgoo Bowl". It's not Chili, but it's our seasonal summer soup in our area. We'll have bowls of Burgoo and one of the best bands in the area after the races in our Hall of Fame bar area. For those of you who are traveling to Macon Saturday, make plans to pretty much stay at our place Friday night for a great time.

I've had a couple of questions about the armband situation for Friday. It can get confusing and at first blush might not seem fair... but it is.

Armbands from our World of Outlaw/POWRi event ARE NOT valid for Friday. The midget portion of the April race was official with the feature field for midgets having been set. Instead of asking POWRi to allocate the feature purse along some arbitrary formula, we asked them to just come back and race for it during our Speed Week show this Friday. So your armband from April is basically paying for the make-up feature purse.

Then we have an entirely new program with a complete midget show. That's what you are paying for when you walk in the gate this Friday.

Your armbands from the World of Outlaws event will still be valid for the makeup of that event in September. Midgets will not be racing that night, but you are still welcome to use them to watch a great show just like you would have in April.

Thanks to all the teams and fans that stuck it out with us tonight at Jacksonville Speedway. Rainouts suck any way you cut it. I really thought we had a longer window after the first rain. We did get a make-up midget feature completed. Pit and grandstand armbands are basically track gift certificates for the amount you paid and can be used for any event except our World of Outlaw event in Sept.
