Why wings for 305 class?

Here is the rules we run at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA 305 sprint cars. We get 20-24 cars most nights. We had 31 cars for the 1st annual 305 sprint nationals this year. Rules are similar to Knoxville only we run wet sump.
