Since it gets darker so much earlier, think they will move the start time up for this race? Sure hope so

You've been reading the wrong things on this forum, they really do have electricity in Terre Haute. They'll turn on the lights.

Just saying guys... it's a long drive for some and getting home at 1a instead of 3 would be nice -

Hopefully NOT!!!!! With terre haute being on eastern time it still won't get dark very early there in early oct. Maybe you are just the type who prefers to eat tire rubber and breathe dust all night just to get home an hour or two earlier. get a motel room instead of trying to ruin it for the rest of us.

Track may be flooded from all your crying. I talked to 2 drivers and 2 crew members who were at Springfield Sat, all 4 said they saw no way they could get the track ready. I watched the weather Fri after returning from Gas City, saw it was already raining hard there. So I got up with a 5 hour drive ahead of me and it didn't look good, so I changed my plans. Sure beats pisssin and moanin for a week.As for the promoter canceling the race, if it weren't for him there would be no dirt miles left, so I will support him whenever I can. Plenty of racing still left this season try to enjoy yourself.

Too funny, I gotta use that one. The cancelling as "tradition" is also pretty funny...

I live 3-4 miles from the track and got 3.25 inches of rain Friday. My sister-in-law also lives in Springfield got 4.5 inches. Underpasses were flooded so badly that a 23 year old girl drowned when she got her car stuck, tried to push it out, and was sucked into a manhole, from which the cover got displaced, in the middle of an underpass .

Yes, we had some rain and no, I don't think there was any great conspiracy around the postponement/cancellation of the race. Just my opinion, I could always be wrong.
