WE agree, to many cars just sitting. go to the track and watch sprints combined with modifieds or micros, not fun. out hear we have a senior class that could be replaced with a good spec program.

Final tire and shock tests next Tuesday, weather permitting.
Trying to find current production tires with wear and performance history that will work well with this program and at an affordable price.
Won't be long now. We just want to have the right program when announced.

We have been testing with the wing as that is the way they will run weekly at Plymouth next year.
The rules allow either and there may be some Non winged events as the car count grows.
Test went great last night. Thanks to Randy Hannigan and Joe Gearte for helping with the set up and shaking the car down.
Rules should be forthcoming from the sanctioning body.

In the mid nineties in western PA we had a limited 360 division with a right rear spec tire. There were probably 25 cars in the immediate area. One track was closing but another was opening. They said they hadn't decided on the rules. When they did decide, they decided to go with a set of rules for which there were no cars in the area. Tough choice. 25 cars ready to go versus 0 to go. Needless to say, it was our Gold Crown moment. Deja vu. And then as if that wasn't bad enough, we had our second Gold Crown moment. Needless to say, it didn't work either. But then we were graced with our third Gold Crown moment. We're still in that but looking for our fourth Gold Crown moment. Just call us WPAC.

check out northeast wingless sprints they race at New Egypt Speedway there is videos on youtube and they are on facebook, its a 602 crate wingless division...... they are a brand new division this season and seem to run ok , but seem under powered on the 1/4 mile bullrings. They have racced at Accord Speedway which is a high banked quarter mile tight corners and they don't have enough power to rotate the car on its big tires and push like dump trucks.... affordable but a little boring to watch

That hasn't been a problem in our tests at Plymouth, Mercer, PA. or at Oshweken were they are finishing their second year with this car. A lot has to do with gearing to be able to use the high torque these engines have and to just touch the chip going into the corner. We are using slightly smaller tires on both sides in the rear which helps.
