Sayler Park, OH resident (at that time) and Lawrenceburg Speedway regular, Jim Bob Luebbert, discussed here at some length recently, had them pretty well covered on this night. Third quick in quallys, won the fast car dash, won the first heat, won the second heat, and won the feature. Impressive, huh? Though it pains me to report, in the interest of full disclosure, I must tell you that only 7 sprints/super modifieds were in the pits that night. One, the #9 of Calvin Gilstrap was scratched after hot laps. Car counts were pretty slim that summer. But hey, a win is a win is a win. Another Sayler Park product by the name of Greg Staab ( who???) ran mid-pack all night in his #44 coupe stock car.
