Yellow flag or not it does not matter. Darren is a racer and he was doing what we pay to see racers do, go for the win! If everybody settled for second or third, racing wounld'nt be very entertaining. Get well Darren, can't wait to see you back on the track!

Darren,
Hoping you are out of he hopsital and feelling a lot better.
Planning on doing the cover story for the next issue of the Hawkeye.
About all of this other stuff, drivers and race officials have to make split-second decisions. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

We have gotten a bit far afield from the origins...can anyone tell us how Darren is doing? Have not seen any updates on the subject of this thread for several days.

:wink

I agree - we should be more worried about the driver than what happened. It's over, and you can't go back in time to change it. Now, let's move on to this weekend's races!

On the USAC racing program Wed., Darren was a call in guess.

He said that he would be back in 3 weeks if the Doc's OK him.

He also said he did not remember anything until he was being helped from the helicopter at the hospital.

Darren said he wanted to go up to Winchester on Sunday to watch, so you may run into him there. He said he was feelin' pretty beat up, but he's hoping to be back in a few weeks.
