JEE-ZUS! Come on already with the highway pounding during sprintweek. Terre Haute on Wednesday, then ALL the way up to Kamp on Thursday, then ALL the way BACK down to Bloomington on Friday? Does anyone care about logistics? How about being efficient? A huge WASTE of time on the scheduling! I can't imagine that Kamp and Terre Haute would mind if they flip-flopped nights near the end of the week. I'll book a room in Terre Haute and stay there on Thursday night and let you have the Kamp "dustbowl" to yourselves. An outdoor pool and some rest and relaxation is far cheaper than driving 400 miles because USAC can't tell North from South!!! Otherwise, I love it! Can't wait for 2009!

Kinda what I was thinking. It's a good schedule, but you'd think logistics would matter more. Especially if gas prices are high again next summer.

Overall, looks good though and has the beginnings of a truly national schedule.

Two things here---- First of all BUMP this THREAD.
And, can I pick my own rank? I mean, who gets to tell me I'm a hot lapper or a mud packer or maybe even a waffle belly, HA! I won't be satisfied until I WIN HOT LAPS!!!!
I'm going to continue posting until my rank is: HOT LAP WINNER...........because that's where it pays the best!

Did I read this right? USAC National Midgets at The Belleville Nationals on 7/31 competing with USAC National Sprints at the Iowa Speedway on the same date.

This was done as a favor to travelers, fans and teams. We did not want to race Gas City Friday, then drive all the way south to Lawrenceburg, then back north to Kokomo. I would love to have Saturday, but it made more sense for the teams and fans to go that route. Let me know if i am missing something.
Thanks, Dave
