The 2018 season will officially kick off this Friday night, April 20th at Jacksonville Speedway with the Midwest Open Wheel Association Sprint Cars Headlining Dick Troutt Tribute Night. Also in action are the Kendall Motor Oil UMP Pro Crate Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds and UMP Street Stocks paying $500 to win in honor of Dick.

Hot Laps start at 6:20 with Racing at 7:00. Pit gates open at 3:30, Grandstands at 5:00. Adult admission is $18. All students in high school or younger Free.

Things temperature wise look to be pretty comfy at race time, but we are sticking to 4 classes this week so that we don't keep you sitting for 4 hours as they slowly fall. Instead, when it's over we'll have Bags and Brews in the Hall of Fame Lounge to celebrate that we finally got a race in!

Should be a fantastic show! I KNOW the drivers are itching and ready to hit the track. Mother Nature spoiled what was going to be a fantastic show a week ago. Looks like she is going to play nice this weekend with ACTUAL Spring weather. Can't wait!

This Friday Night the Midwest Open Wheel Association opens our 2018 season at Jacksonville Speedway. We will also be introducing our new title sponsor for the 2018 Season. We've had an incredible run as the Neal Tire and Auto Service Sprint Car Series and are thankful for the tremendous support from Neal over the past several seasons as our title sponsor. There are great people at Neal and our relationship will continue. But we will have a new name and title sponsor for 2018 and hope you join us in welcoming them this Friday Night. Lets FINALLY, get this season started!

Just under 2 days away from Dick Troutt Tribute Night to kick off our 2018 season. We are excited to get things going after Mother Nature has thwarted our first couple of attempts. It is going to be a fun night of racing honoring a great racer and better friend in Dick Troutt.

We are just 1 day away from dropping the green flag to kick the 2018 season into gear, but to pay tribute Friday to one of Jacksonville Speedway’s Living Legends as we celebrate Dick Troutt Tribute Night. Here is a great #ThrowbackThursday pic of Dick when he, at age 77 back in 2013, got back behind the wheel one last time in the Street Stock division. It should be a full evening of great racing, great friends and great memories to start our 2018 campaign.

Go all the way back to when you were still thinking about what you were going to be for Halloween. Long time ago? Yup... A real long time ago.

That's how long it's been since we've had a car race at Jacksonville Speedway. But that streak ends tonight!

It's opening Night at Jacksonville Speedway for Dick Troutt Tribute Night featuring the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars Delivered by Morrow Brothers, Kendall Oil Pro Late Models, Dirtcar Modifieds and $500 to win Street Stocks.

We have a beautiful day in store and an exciting evening. Get back to the race track. Grandstands open at 5:00. Hot Laps 6:20. Racing at 7:00.

Adult admission $18. Everyone high school age or younger is Free.

It's also Free Blue Tape Night. When you get here there's a good chance your seat has Blue painter's tape on it from being marked as reserved last week. Feel free to save us some time and take the blue tape off your seat and sit wherever you please .
