Inside of track measures 1980 feet! Trees are coming down on back stretch to make room for pit parking.
A lot of money being spent for a so called "practice" track!
Not sure how well you know the owners of edgewater but they don't spend a dime unless they can make a buck!

I don't know em at all. But have gone there since the 80s. Hey if it's friday nights and I can see a feature before 12am unlike Moler. I'll be there.
That 30-45 minute redraw is nothing to their two hour break

I drive by it Friday nite in the way to L-burg bike races. Looked bigger than 3/8 to me but it's just roughly cut in. My brother went to the drags Saturday nite and someone told him it was gonna be a test track but I'd agree that it seems like a lot of money & effort to play on.
If they do plan to hold events there I'd wish them the best of luck & I hope they realize what they are getting into, it won't be like the drag strip where basically open the gates and people line up to give you money and likewise the competitors will want paid at least a little.

Stopped on top of the hill at the Entrance to Edgewater and overlooked the track yesterday. It's way bigger than Burg or even Florence, Eldora Sized if not bigger if the turns 3/4 are any indication. the pits would have to be in the infield The top of the back straight wall is litterally in the tree branches along the river so a Wall would be mandatory for any racing, Also the drop off of one and two is almost straight down.

Really looks like a tight spot to put a grandstand between the entry road and the track itself but IDK and where is parking etc for the track itself, the pits of the drag strip?

They were actually out working on it, so that's one thing. But it has a long way to go for any racing. Lighting, a wall/fence and grandstand concessions and restroom would be a huge investment although im sure they've already spent a ton with the dozers and fuel.

What will it be, IDK, I seen some down talking with them and met some others who said they've been down there and talked with em. They know more than me.

this would be amazing! especially if running on Friday nights. I come over now and again to bowl the Hoinke Classic and would prefer some racing over casinos any day!!

If it's a test track, why would website say grand opening in April 2018? On another thought, mufflers?
