Dave Dehem has started a new series-

For those of you that have been wondering what to do since Spartan Speedway decided to stop having Sprints as a division.

Midwest Non-Winged Sprints
28047 Maple Forest Blvd. E.
Harrison Twp., Mi. 48045
586-465-7046 Office
586-202-2357 cell

For Immediate Release: September 8, 2016

The staff of the newly formed Midwest Non-Winged Sprints is happy to say that we are open for business.

Midwest Non-Winged Sprints (MNWS) is owned by Dave and Julie DeHem and its purpose is to provide a traveling series of races on asphalt for non-winged sprint cars in the Michigan/Mid-West region.

Basically the premise of the series is to allow for any sprint car team that races with any of the winged sprint car series to be able to remove the wings and come and race with us as our rules are in line with those of the other winged and non-winged series.

The series has signed on with Michigan Race Tire Warehouse as the official supplier of race tires for the series and will be utilizing the same American Racer tires that the Must See Racing Series uses.

For the immediate future we will be contacting race teams in order to introduce ourselves and tracks to hopefully book shows for the 2017 season. It is our hope and desire to be able to provide 7 – 8 races for the teams to compete in and will be looking at tracks from ¼ mile to ½ mile. We are also committed to working with the other sprint car organizations in scheduling dates that will not conflict so that teams do not have to make a choice as to where they go to race.

The series is in its infancy and we will be working to secure sponsorship(s) and intends to have a point fund at the end of each season. A web page will be set up soon but for the time being Facebook will be the best alternative for information.

Series founder, Dave DeHem has previously served as the P.R. Director and Series Chaplain for the Michigan Legends Series from 2003 – 2012 and presently serves as the President of the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame. Dave is a former driver of Legends Cars and Stock Cars. The series will become a member of the Michigan Speedway Promoters Association as well.

MNWS will release more information as it becomes available
