The 24th annual "Illinois state Midget Racing Championship" Will be run at Grundy county Speedway on
Saturday evening, Aug 27th. The Illini Racing group is the sanctioning body along with Midwest Midget Series group. Membership is not required to enter.
This is a very special event. Some of the highlights are as follows.

30 lap feature for the midget championship- plus qualifying and heat races

This is a sponsored event and will pay a premium purse as well as a beautiful trophy for the winner.

Only $ 5.00 General grandstand admission -Children 11 and under are free.

A well known grand Marshall

Big wheel races at intermission for the kids

A lucky number program with a cash prize of $ 50.00 and several other gift certificates will be sold for $2.00

At least three, maybe four support divisions insures more than a hundred laps of racing.

Pre-entry for the midgets is very good and insures a full field of competitive cars.

I am still working on tires. If anyone's needing tires for this Saturday's race please let me kmow? Needing an idea on how many tires we are needing.

Had some questions about tries the rules will remain the same as the ILLINI series.
These prices are being offered at dealer cost to us and can be ordered by calling Boubin Tire Company directly at 800-722-3847. Be sure to ask for Troy Boubin or Darin Christensen if you have any questions as they are the ones who with the knowledge of our series tire rules.

I am also trying to work on getting in touch with them to see if we can have tires at the race tracks and what local options we have.
