Currently running a 372 Chevy with a 12LT and a 8105 points box. Car is running very poorly until it gets to higher RPM, lets say around 7000. I took the mag and box off to send to Magtech to see if there could possibly be something going wrong inside. While removing, I realized the points box had no ground wire and it is mounted in the rubber isolaters.

Anyone ever experience this type of problem and could the ground play into it?

More than likely grounding on msd stuff is a non issue, ran them with ground wires and without. Send it to http://www.electrimotion.com

Half the money as mag tech for service and most of the top racers are sending their msd stuff to him. Even nhra guys like John force.
