MTQRL to Race at the Rush Co. Fair on June 25th & 26th

The Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Jenmarco.com begins a hectic stretch of six races in nineteen days on Thursday night at the Rush County Fairgrounds.

The 1/6th mile Rushville, Ind. oval has a long history of action-packed, side-by-side racing and this year should be no different. The MTQRL will be showcasing the three-quarter midgets on both Thursday and Friday at the Rush County Fair with a return trip scheduled for the Fourth of July.

At the Rush County Fair on June 25th and 26th practice is scheduled for 6:30 pm followed by qualifications. Racing will begin at 7:30 pm with the Jackson Oil & Solvents Duel for Fuel. Pit passes are $25 for all ages (minors must have both parents signatures to enter the restricted pit area) and adult general admission is $10, children 6-12 are $2, and 5 and under are free.

After three races in a row at Rushville, the MTQRL will head to the Shelby County Fair in Shelbyville, Ind. on July 10th. The following night, July 11th, the MTQRL TQ’s will be the support series for the USAC sprint cars at the Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Ind. This Indiana Sprint Week event will allow the MTQRL to compete in front of its largest crowd of the season.

The MTQRL county fair circuit concludes on Tuesday July 14th at the Bartholomew County Fair. This race is billed as “Tony Stewart Foundation Night at the Races” and the MTQRL is looking to make this a fun evening for all, and to raise awareness for the Tony Stewart Foundation in Tony’s hometown of Columbus, Ind. With sponsors such as Armstrong Garage Doors, Inc. already on board, this race will pay a minimum of $500 to win and $125 to start. Rush County Fair race
Thursday June 25th

At this time it is NOT raining in Rushville.

The track was sealed over in anticipation of overnight and early morning rains. The fair board members are currently assessing the grounds and track and will make a decision by 1:30 pm regarding tonight's MTQRL race.

As of 1:45 pm tonight's MTQRL race at the Rush County Fair (Thurs. 6/25) is on as scheduled. Practice at 6:30 pm, racing at 7:30 pm.

Wow! In my +50 years attending races at that track I can't remember a more exciting feature. Rookie Callie Wolsiffer (2nd) looks to be an outstanding racing talent with a bright future. Last nights finish was Joey Paxon, Callie Wolsiffer, Ron Combs and Tate Martz. Wolsiffer after leading the most laps muscled her way past Combs out of turn 4 to the checkered flag for 2nd place.

Racing was great even as rough as it was. Wish we would've had more cars. Anxious to see if we can make it two in a row tonight.

We just got off the phone with the fair board and once again they did a good job anticipating the weather and had the track sealed.

At this point everything is still on as planned for this evening. We will post additional updates as needed.

Persistent rain showers have forced the cancellation of tonight's race at the Rush County Fair (6/26). We are working on a reschedule date and will make an announcement when plans are finalized.

Great running wheel to wheel with Callie and joey.. Congrats to Joey he drove a awesome race.. And Callie did a hell of a job very proud of her!!
