United States Speed Association Officials welcome Baer Field Speedway and Angola Motor Speedway to the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW 2014 racing schedule. The two northern Indiana tracks will join Anderson Speedway in the USSA family of racetracks.

Angola Motor Speedway will host the USSA non-winged sprint cars on Saturday July 26. The race will mark USSA’s first trip to the high-banked 3/8 mile oval.

Baer Field Speedway, located just south of Ft. Wayne, IN, will feature the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW on Friday night June 13. The ˝ mile oval will also feature a night of country music to close out the race weekend on Saturday June 14.

Anderson Speedway continues to anchor the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW. The USSA Sprint Car season will open on the high banks of Anderson Speedway on Sunday April 27 with the 100-lap Glen Niebel Classic. Next up is the 66th Pay Less Little 500 May 24, racing in conjunction with Must See Racing. The season championship will close its books when the 2nd Annual Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW “Making Strides 50” highlights Anderson Speedway’s October 4 Paint the Night Pink event.

“We’re excited about adding Angola and Baer Field to our schedule,” said Danny Ernstes of UAW Motorsports. “Both tracks are within the UAW’s footprint, allowing the men and women from our locals and retiree chapters to support the races and race teams,” Ernstes explained.

The men and women of the UAW already support Anderson Speedway and the Paint the Night Pink event promoting the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides against Breast Cancer campaign.

USSA Officials also plan to add a September event to the 2014 schedule. “We are building the Sprint Car Challenge Series by building relationships with our race track partners. The goal is to have each race become an annual event for our promoters, teams and fans,” Commented Eric Bunn, Vice President of USSA.

Thanks to Mel, Don, Eric and the USSA series sponsors for organizing more venues for pavement sprint cars.
