Mid-America Lightning Sprint Presented by Jayhawk Millwright and Midwest Mini Sprint Association have signed a third combined show for the 2014 season. As a result of the cooperation set forth from the national rules meeting held earlier this winter to achieve a common set of rules and tech procedures all participates could agree on and there for the ability to work together for the betterment of our sport. Mid-America Lightning Sprints (MALS) and Midwest Mini Sprints Association (MMSA) have in braced this concept hole heartedly and have shown what can be done when a common set of rules and goals are worked out. I am very pleased to announce our latest effort will be at a new facility for Lightning / mini sprints this season. The new venue will be held at Clay County Speedway in Flora IL on July 19th. This makes the third combined show for these two groups this season. This combined show will earn its name as one of the premier lightning / mini sprint event to attend in 2014 dubbed the MALS/MMSA lightning sprint Midwest Shoot out. More details for this event and others will be released in the coming days.

This will be a great event, everyone with a lightning sprint needs to take advantage of this event. Jayhawk Millwright has stepped up with some added money for the purse to help everyone out. Phil Heavelow (Jayhawk Millwright) does so much for the sport of Lightning Sprint Racing and we all need to let him know how much we appreciate it by attending these events.

Thanks to Phil Heavelow and Jayhawk Millwright this race is Guaranteed $650 to win and $70 to start. This is a great opportunity for a new venue for Lightning Sprint for years to come, provided we have a good show. Kevin at Clay County Speedway is looking forward to our show. Plus how many track promoter call and tell you I want to help the guys out who don't transfer to the feature? So what Kevin at Clay County speedway is doing is the first 5 cars who don't transfer to the feature provided they are still running will get $50 tow money. The complete payout for this race is posted below.
