So I've got a midget that will only start when pushed slow. Like bareley fast enough to keep the wheels turning

Mechanical injection
Electronic ignition
Mechanical fuel pump

check static ignition timing, also verify that the reluctor for your crank sensor is still spinning once the eng rpm increases. You could place an inline spark tester and verify that the spark continues regaurdless of rpm that would lead you to a fuel issue.

That was going to be my starting point, maybe too much advance at a speed other than just rolling, does it actually run if you push it slow enough to start, and run on it's own. Next stop would be fuel system, maybe too much fuel at normal push speed, idle bypass, or barrel valve set too high. Just a few thoughts, I'm sure you've not overlooked these posibilities. More info! Or hook up an induction timing light, it might be easier to see from the seat, bungee it someplace where you can see it! Bob
