I believe they raced at Jungle Park also. Another sprint car club of that era was KIRA, the Kentucky Indiana Racing Association.

Do you know what track they ran on at Muncie? It could have been either the steeplechase or the fairgrounds.

Thank you for your answers!

"I believe they raced at Jungle Park also. Another sprint car club of that era was KIRA, the Kentucky Indiana Racing Association."
Yes of course I didn't follow:Jungle Park...I've never heard KIRA,but very interested in...and thanks also your records.I'm doing a project right now.Trying to collect all (speed car/big car) events from 1919 to 50's years. It's also a good supplement for me!(If anyone has other big car information, please share it with me!)

"Do you know what track they ran on at Muncie?" Yes I know:it was Delaware County Fairgrounds half mile track!

If you find any information on Montpelier, we would be very interested also. Any open wheel photos we have from that era look to be Midgets. We are unsure if they were sanctioned or an outlaw class.

The current Montpelier Motor Speedway is essentially in the infield of the old Montpelier 1/2 Mile. You can still see the half mile from satellite pictures and turn 3 and part of the back stretch can be seen from the pits.

I suddenly have the following things in relation Montpellier:
It was operated 1/2 mile from 1938 to 1941-until this time no info, later from 1946 to 1955 ran 1/4 mile track.
This is the last year I have a newspaper article that United Speedways sanctioned big cars ran at 12th June.
I found some names:Wilbur Robinson of Indianapolis(Ranger-3 times winner in United Speedways),Red Boscher of Indianapolis,Billy Earl,R.B. Hensley of Richmond,Ky.,Bill Quigley of Aurora,Ill,Ray Duckworth of Anderson,Bob Wright of Indianapolis and Orville Brown of Hamilton,O.
