KT jr dominated the field....until just a couple laps to go when Leary turned up the heat. CJ dogged KT looking for an opening and on the final corner threw a perfect slider beating KT by a couple of car lengths. Unfortunately after taking the checkers and going through 1 and 2 the motor gave up the ghost and let out all the magic smoke. KT had it won but a yellow on lap 17 allowed the field to bunch back up giving Leary the opportunity he needed.

Track was bad fast and pretty well wide open after they worked it back in. Passing was at a minimum until roughly 5 or 6 laps to go when it started to slicken up a bit.

To add to that statement, track was BAD fast! I'd like to know what lap times were. As for the rain delay, I thought it could have been shorter if there was more than one tractor and a water truck. Guess the push trucks didn't want to get dirty. All in all, another great night at the track.

Feature pushed off at 8:30 after first running the Mini Sprint Feature to give crews from the B time to fuel up and buff a tire, After the lap one five car pile up (Rare) and Moffatt getting over and at minnimum breaking spindle. While cleaning up the track the rains started to fall and came down hard for about ten minutes with several drizzles and then a stop. Hats of the The Burg crew, The track was slime and even after getting several laps with the sheepfoot you could still see the drizzel hitting the pockets it was pounding into the track. The persisted and it even rained hard for a couple minutes and I was sure it was done. They persisted. It stopped and eventually we got several street stocks and even a truck or two not part of the push truck team on the track.

The Sprints pushed off again at 10:40. Kevin Thomas Jr. was dominant. The track was mostly on the cushion and so fast that it was almost impossible to pass without getting into each other. as Burdette and Leary did a couple times. for fourth place. Clements was running a strong second with Ligori running a strong third, Leary and Burdette rounded out the top five at the lap 17 yellow.

Up till that point KT has amassed nearly a third of a lap lead but that was negated and on the restart within a couple of laps Leary has passed both Clements and Ligori and began to run down the straight away lead KT had regained prior to the yellow. The last five laps of this one were *BREATHTAKING* Leary was litterally running in to three 70ft deeper than KT and dogged him the last three laps till a final corner dive bomb which he cleared and made stick. KT tried the crossover and we had another BLANKET finish at the Burg. Leary brought his own fireworks as flames blew from under his mount down the back straight and the smoke and streamers followed him to his Crowning of THE KING OF THE MIDwEST for this night Congrats CJ, Awesome run!

Mods were won by Nicely for his second in a row and went Green to Checker 15 made the show and I was glad to see Mugavin be able to start after tagging the wall in hot laps.

Street stocks also had another last corner of last lap decision with a huge slider by Bowling on Wheeler but Hensley didn't let that stick, They got into each other a bit but Wheeler won, Sounded like he broke either a drive shaft or axel but he won

Complete program with a 2:20 minute rain delay. 11:45

Thanks for everyone for all the effort. It was a blast! I think Marv might have had a hour and a half sleep in at Green flag time.
