One thing I learned last night, Daryn Pittman needs to run a midget more often.
Qualed good, raced well in the heat. Started last (due to pitting on pace lap...was going to start up front), got to 10th before the shock broke. Not bad for his first outdoor midget race. |

Why would Gas City run a sprint car semi with 6 cars, taking the top 5, and then turn around, and start everybody in the feature anyway? What was the purpose of the thundercars, and also running them before the sprint car feature? There was at least a 10 minutes break after the midget feature due to the victory lane ceremonies, and only a few of the midget drivers were running the sprints also, none of which were in the top three finishing positions, so why not run the sprint cars after the midgets? Don't take this as me being a Negative Nick or anything, but I'm just stating the facts. As a paying customer, leaving the race at 11:45 on a weeknight is a little rediculous. I won't even get into the track conditions for the midget B main, but if this would've been any other track they would have been blasted already. It looked like pavement with a little dust thrown on it.

Yes that was my question the last several weeks including when I raced there Memorial Day weekend. Why run a B-Main if you are going to end up starting everyone anyway?? Someone please clarify this for the fans, drivers, and owners!
