This is some old footage of USAC sprints at Terre Haute in 1970. The quality is not great, but there are some good shots from the day. I was 6 years old and my Dad took me and got this footage from the day. It is easy to make out Gary Bettenhausen's #1 and A.J. Foyt in Meskowski's #15. Maybe some of you can make out some of the others there that day. Lots of great memories from there and I was glad to make a return trip to the Action Track last month with Dad as we got an early start to his 70th birthday celebration. Thanks Dad!

Thanks for sharing.

Karl Busson in the black #95 Cetoz Chevy toward the beginning of the clip. Bill Puterbaugh probably was in the yellow Niebel #60. If the roadster is the Wackholz (sp?) that would be Lennie Waldo unless Eldon Rasmussen was driving his own roadster.

Steve, you didn't mention the date of this race. I attended three at THAT in 1970. The other's were on 6/21 and 8/9. I can dig out results I recorded for those if you think one of them might be the race in question. That's is, of course, if you have any interest.

I posted the 9/13 results in another thread as I don't know how to incorporate them into this thread.

Wow. I really like your results. I am not sure of the date but I could ask if my Dad remembers. I know that JR drove the #15 some, but I am sure that Foyt was in the car this day. Thanks for the Puterbaugh update as that is why he was in the video as we watched him alot in the early days at Tri City.
Thanks again

I don't think this was the race...towards the end of the video you can see an orange #75 which I remember Bob Seelman (from Lansing, Michigan?) driving some on pavement but can't remember who drove it on dirt. #75 is not listed in Marv's results....maybe the June or August race?

The 75 car with the driver wearing an orange helmet is probably Dee Jones.
