3 Wide Life Tapped As Media Partner for AutoWeek’s America Adventure presented by Mopar

(Charlotte, N.C. Oct. 21, 2011) In conjunction with AutoWeek magazine and USAC, 3 Wide Life (3WL) Productions has been tapped as the TV media partner for the America Adventure that kicks off on Oct. 26 in Seattle, Washington and culminates in Las Vegas, Nevada on Nov. 1. This event involves an adventurous mix of track racing and scavenger hunting along with rally driving and 3WL will be there every step of the way filming for a special presentation episode of their nationally syndicated television program, 3 Wide Life. They will also be providing daily online content of their trials and mishaps on the road at 3widelife.com. This daily content will also be pushed out through 3WL’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube social media channels for all fans to be able to keep up with the action. 3 Wide Life also has a team entered in the race that will be documented as well, with Parker Williams, Adam Colborne, and Tyler Hmiel coming together to pilot their No. 56 entry.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us to come in as the key TV media partner for such a unique and exciting event like this,” said Parker Williams Co-founder of 3 Wide Life Productions. “This will allow us to provide fresh new daily content for all the fans of 3 Wide Life that we otherwise wouldn’t have access too. This event will be like The Amazing Race meets Road Rules and is a type of race we have never covered before so we hope our fans enjoy something new. We can’t thank USAC and the folks at AutoWeek enough for giving us this opportunity.”

The six days of gaming will take Williams, Colborne, and Hmiel along with 26 other teams through some of the most diverse countryside in America with each evening ending in a new city. As part of the game, and the fun, teams will have no idea where they'll end up for the night and will have to "get a clue" in order to navigate the route correctly. On day 7, the event will come to an end in the bustling metropolis of Las Vegas at the largest automotive tradeshow in the world, the annual SEMA convention. With a big finish, a few teams will have the chance to test their luck one last time and hopefully take home the grand prize: a limited edition Mopar '11 Charger!

Each day of the event, teams will be competing for a key. Points are earned by solving clues, completing missions, and correctly navigating the route on time and at the speed limit. Several point earning On-Track Challenges are also incorporated into game play. The team who collects the most points without breaking the rules, will win a key at the end of the day. There will be 7 keys up for grabs; 1 during the pre-game and 6 during the live event. At the finish line, all key holders will be brought up on stage and given the chance to start the car. Whoever starts the engine, wins the Mopar ’11 Charger.

Sounds like fun. I'd watch. Hope they broadcast it here in Indianapolis.
