RW to Sponsor Indy Lights
Alliance Motorsports & Arie Luyendyk Jr. at Chicagoland

August 25, 2010 - Rotondo Weirich, sponsors and owners of the USAC National Team, RW Motorsports have joined with Alliance Motorsports of Brownsburg, Indiana to sponsor the Alliance Motorsports/RW/Dallara #24 car for this weekend’s Firestone Indy Lights Chicagoland 100.

Drawing on a long time passion and experience for open wheel racing, RW & RW Motorsports are excited for the opportunity to work with the team at Alliance. The RW sponsored car will be piloted by Arie Luyendyk Jr for the August 28th event. Luyendyk, son of two-time Indy 500 winner, Arie Sr., previously claimed victory at Chicagoland in 2008.

Steve Weirich commented on RW’s new venture, “We are thrilled to partner with Alliance for this new opportunity. We look forward to work with their experienced team and provide a venue to support RW team members to make the jump to the IndyCar series of racing in the near future.” ♦

Isn't this the car that Shane Hmiel was supposed to be in?

Did Luyendyk get the ride because he brought money?

Shane is slated to pilot the car for a future event. There were scheduling challenges that prevented him from participating in Saturday's race. We are excited to support his debut in Indy Lights for Alliance & RW.
