GREAT VALUE FOR 2011 INDY 500: KIDS' GENERAL ADMISSION IS FREE
Buy 2011 general admission tickets now at 2010 prices

INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 - The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is offering free general admission for fans 12 and under for the 100th anniversary Indianapolis 500 in 2011 and is encouraging all fans to purchase general admission tickets
for "The Most Important Race in History" before Feb. 1, 2011 for an even better value.

The 2011 Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 29 at IMS.

Fans can purchase general admission tickets at 2010 pricing levels through Jan. 31: Practice days, $5; Qualification days, $10; Miller Lite Carb Day, $10; Race Day, $20. From Feb. 1, the prices will be: Practice days, $10; Qualification days, $15;
Miller Lite Carb Day, $20; Race Day, $30. This is the first increase in general admission ticket prices since 1993 and the first Practice Day increase since 1992.

New for 2011, the Indianapolis 500 will provide a family value purchase and all children under 12 will be admitted for free every day of on-track activity from Opening Day, Saturday, May 14 through Race Day, Sunday, May 29 when accompanied by
an adult general admission ticket holder.

"The Indianapolis 500 remains one of the greatest values for fans in worldwide sports and entertainment and in 2011 the general admission ticket provides significant family value," said Jeff Belskus, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation president and CEO. "We encourage everyone to buy their general admission tickets before Jan. 31, as they make great holiday gifts for every race fan on your shopping list."

Fans have seat access with a general admission ticket on Practice and Qualification days and Miller Lite Carb Day. There is no seat access with a general admission ticket on Race Day.

Tickets are on sale online at www.imstix.com, by calling the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or by visiting the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.

Tickets for groups of 20 or more also are on sale. Contact the IMS Group Sales Department at (866) 221-8775 for more information.

Thanks for sharing Vukie. I'll keep that in mind as I usually have some friends come into town to go to the track. I'm out there pretty much every day the place is open so I always buy the bronze badge for the month that costs $100. Wonder if that will go up.... I knew they hadn't rasised prices in a long time, but didn't realize it had been since the early 90's....still a good deal IMO.
