Why put Knoxville on the schedule if it’s non-points. Why not just make it a damn points race? So what if the format is slightly different, a feature race is still a feature race. USAC does this at other races too. So Stupid!

Not sure if it is still true, but was told this several years ago. This is voted on at the competition meetings.

I honestly hate non points races or show up point only races, Especially late in a season where second in points legitimately has a chance to close or overtake the leader. Rainouts alone put enough of a *DAMPER* on that. Pardon the pun.

Knoxville will be points races for the USAC national series. They will be non-points races for the USAC Midwest Wingless series.
