i've been going to the CHILI BOWL for
a "few" years.

has it evolved into a "serious" race
for the racers and crews compared
to a more "relaxed have fun event"
that i remember?

i think so.
i'm going to blame it on tv money.

quarter drops?

ya know?

I'm sure if you asked, a large portion of the field is there to see friends and have a good time.

I'm sure everyone would love to win the event, but realistically there are only a handful of cars every year that have a legit chance at it. Even they, some of those teams can act it's all fun and games until they start strapping in for the A on Saturday. It gets pretty serious after that.

Really, if you're able to go and enjoy some racing and being around the sport, it's always a good time.
