This car garnered a lot of attention on a friends Facebook last night regarding the suspension setup. Left me at least scratching my head.
If anyone has any info, I for one, am curious as to how this one 'works'. -Justin |

If this is the last car he built, he was really thinking. He had a champ dirt car, and built this as a sprint car, for the Mopar Million, or the high dollar race the next season. He built it where it would be a max wheelbase length sprint car, but he could also put the front suspension farther forward in the car and run it as a short wheelbase( within the wheelbase length for champ dirt cars). The car was run once at Eldora as a sprint car.
Later that season Rich had a devastating wreck at Springfield, in all seriousness I'm amazed it didn't kill him. To be ready for DuQuoin, Rich turned the sprint car into a champ dirt car. Also this really isn't a champ dirt car in the purest sense. It isn't anything like a Beast, Maxim , or GRP. Rich built what he knows, and he built a short wheelbase modified. |
