Increased Purse for Fourth of July Rushville Race

For the 2014 race season, the Rush County Fair Board has collaborated with the Midwest TQ Racing League to sanction all of the three-quarter midget races held at the Rush County Fairgrounds.

Three races are scheduled on the Rushville oval. The traditional Rush County Fair races on Thursday June 26th and Friday June 27th, and the Fourth of July/Fireworks show on Friday July 4th.

As an incentive for car owners to participate in all of the Rushville races, the Rush County Fair Board has solicited sponsors to raise the purse on the Fourth of July. Cars that compete at every Rushville race will be eligible for the increased purse, which currently stands at a minimum of $150 to start the feature on the Fourth of July.

The total sponsorship dollars that will be added to the purse are still being finalized. Once that information becomes available, it will be posted at www.mtqrl.com.
